What's the deal with Home Depot and Lowe's gift cards and store credit cards?
I keep seeing people advertise on Craigslist for wanting to buy these store cards. Are they using them in some way to scam other people?? Why do they want to buy them off of people?
Here’s the advertisement:
"Home Depot and Lowe’s gift cards and store credit.
If you have them and want cash instead, Call xxx-xxx-xxxx
Fast and easy. Cash today. No games, no hassles, just cash in your hand."
They probably want to buy them using a fake check or a fake money order.
They are just fishing for naive people, that’s all.

You know, I Iooked at the added detail and tried to figure out what benefit a person would gain from the transaction. They won’t. The person is promising ‘cash’ – but it’s going to be a (fake) check or money order when you meet with the person (and a potentially dangerous situation). My opinion.
